Understanding that the Maori Wardens is a Non-paid voluntary organization.
Please register your interest with the National office on our online submission form that will be emailed to the National office.
Once your register of interest form has been received, National Office will transfer the interest to the closest District / sub association near you to respond.

The District or sub association nearest to any interested party will be invited to an interview and information sharing meeting to learn what is involved in becoming a Maori warden.

The acceptance to be a Maori warden process does NOT AUTOMATICALLY make you a Maori warden, upon entry new nominations commence a training process.
Your induction will include all aspects of the training process to become a warranted warden and you will be told the period for training which can be 12 months to three years depending on the time given and the adherence the trainee applies to being a working warden.
